NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

A neuropsychological evaluation is a series of tests that aim to determine how an individual's brain is functioning. An evaluation can assess broader cognitive functioning, executive functioning issues, learning issues, memory, processing speed, attention, mood, personality, and social functioning. Neuropsychological assessment can be used in the diagnosis of the following disorders:

  • intellectual disabilities

  • learning disabilities

  • neurologic disorders

  • traumatic brain injuries

  • autism spectrum disorders

  • mood disorders

  • neurocognitive effects of trauma

FORENSIC ASSESSMENT

Psychological assessment for forensic purposes can be useful in providing information about how an individual's psychological state may relate to specific legal circumstances or possible outcomes associated with legal issues.  

Dr. Mintz has experience administering forensic evaluations associated with the following legal circumstances:

  • competency

  • asylum

  • crime victims

  • hardship waivers/I-601A

  • VAWA

  • U-Visa/T-Visa

  • citizenship renouncement

  • incarcerated youth

  • malingering

Psychological assessments are administered independently. Fees are not contingent on the outcome of the evaluation.
